Porsche and iRacing announce $100,000 eSports Championship

Porsche and iracing have teamed up to provide an online racing championship with $100,000 worth of prize money up for grabs. The championship starts early in 2019 and will see sim racers compete in the Porsche 911 GT3 over a ten round series.

Porsche is already heavily invested in sim racing, this announcement was made at the Porsche Factory in Leipzig, Germany, at the Porsche SimRacing Summit. The Porsche SimRacing Summit is the finale of an online racing competition also run through iracing with €30,000 prize money at stake.
